System

The System instrument provides the operator with detailed information about the rXg hardware, operating system, and running processes.

Note: In cluster deployments, a Cluster Node field is displayed in applicable scaffolds to indicate which node the entry belongs to.

System Infos

The System Infos scaffold displays comprehensive hardware and software information about the rXg system.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the system info belongs to. The Hostname field displays the configured system hostname. The Booted At field indicates when the system was last started. The Uptime field shows how long the system has been running since the last boot.

The rXg Build and rXg IUI fields show the current rXg software version and interface version. The OS Release field displays the operating system release version. The BIOS Version field shows the system BIOS version.

The System Manufacturer, System Family, and System Product Name fields provide system identification information. The Processor Version field shows detailed processor identification. The Processor Count field shows the number of CPU cores. The Processor Temp field displays the current CPU temperature if available.

The Disk Device field shows the primary storage device. The Disk Total GB field displays the total disk capacity.

The Memory Total MB field shows the total system memory in megabytes. The Memory Used MB field displays the amount of memory currently in use. The Memory Free MB field indicates the available free memory. The Load Avg 15m field displays the system load average over fifteen minutes.

Interface Stats

The Interface Stats scaffold displays detailed information about all network interfaces on the system.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the interface belongs to. The If field shows the interface name. The Media field indicates the interface media type and link status.

The Interface, Pseudo Interface, and VLAN fields link to the corresponding rXg configuration records. The Parent field shows the parent interface for VLANs. The Tag field displays the VLAN tag if applicable.

The Aliases field displays all IP addresses configured on the interface. The MAC field displays the hardware MAC address. The MTU field shows the Maximum Transmission Unit. The PPP and Uplink fields indicate associations with WAN connectivity configurations.

The Uplink Stats scaffold displays dynamic information about configured uplinks.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the uplink belongs to. The Uplink field links to the uplink configuration record. The Gateway field displays the IPv4 default gateway obtained via DHCP or configured statically. The Gateway6 field shows the IPv6 gateway if applicable. The DNS field displays the DNS servers provided by the uplink.

Sendmail Queue Entries

The Sendmail Queue Entries scaffold displays emails currently queued for delivery on the rXg.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the queue entry belongs to. The QTime field indicates when the message was queued. The QID field shows the unique queue identifier for the message. The Sender field shows the envelope sender address. The Recipient field displays the envelope recipient address(es). The Info field provides additional status information about the queued message.

Filesystems

The Filesystems scaffold displays ZFS dataset and filesystem usage information.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the filesystem belongs to. The Mount field displays the mount point. The Used field displays the amount of space used. The Available field indicates the remaining available space. The Size field shows the total size of the dataset. The Capacity field shows the percentage of space used.

The Ratio field shows the compression ratio achieved. The Used DS field shows space used by the dataset itself. The Refquota field displays any configured reference quota. The Used Snap field shows space consumed by snapshots. The Filesystem field shows the ZFS dataset name.

SMART Entries

The SMART Entries scaffold displays S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) data for storage devices.

The Device field shows the device name. The POH field displays Power-On Hours. The PCC displays Power Cycle Count. The USC shows Unsafe Shutdown Count. The EC shows Erase Count.

The Reads and Writes fields show total bytes read and written to the device. For SSDs, the Spare field shows the available spare capacity percentage. The Spare Thresh field indicates the threshold below which spare capacity is considered critical. The Spare Used field displays the percentage of spare capacity consumed.

Kernel States

The Kernel States scaffold displays kernel sysctl values from the rXg system.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the kernel state belongs to. The Key field shows the sysctl variable name. The Value field displays the current value of the sysctl. This scaffold provides visibility into system tuning parameters and runtime kernel statistics.

Process Entries

The Process Entries scaffold displays running processes on the rXg system, similar to the output of the ps command.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the process is running on. The Started At field indicates when the process was started. The Command field shows the process command name.

The CPU field displays the CPU usage percentage. The Mem field shows the memory usage percentage. The VSZ field indicates the virtual memory size in kilobytes. The RSS field displays the resident set size (physical memory used) in kilobytes. The Time field shows the cumulative CPU time.

The Usr field displays the username running the process. The Stat field shows the process state codes (R=Running, S=Sleeping, etc.). The MWChan field displays the wait channel if the process is sleeping.

The PID field shows the process ID. The UID field shows the user ID. The PPID field displays the parent process ID. The PRI field displays the scheduling priority. The NI field shows the nice value.

Delayed Jobs

The Delayed Jobs scaffold displays background jobs queued for asynchronous processing.

The Run At field shows when the job is scheduled to run. The Created At field indicates when the job was created. The Handler field contains the serialized job payload describing the task to be performed. The Queue field indicates which job queue the job is assigned to.

The Priority field shows the job priority (lower numbers run first). The Attempts field displays how many times the job has been attempted. The Locked At field indicates when the job was locked for processing. The Locked By field displays which worker has locked the job.

The Failed At field shows when a job failed if applicable. The Last Error field displays the error message from the most recent failure. The Updated At field shows when the job record was last modified.

PCI Devices

The PCI Devices scaffold displays PCI devices detected in the system.

The Cluster Node field shows which node in a cluster the device belongs to. The Name field shows the device name as identified by the system. The Vendor field shows the hardware vendor name. The Vendor ID field displays the PCI vendor ID. The Device field shows the device description. The Device ID field displays the PCI device ID.

The Device Class field indicates the device class (Network controller, Storage controller, etc.). The Device Subclass field provides more specific classification. The Bus field displays the PCI bus location. The Unique ID field shows a unique identifier for the device.
