Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026

This policy says what personal information RG Nets, Inc. ("RG Nets", "we", "us") collects on rgnets.com and its subdomains, why we collect it, who we give it to, and what you can do about it.

1. Scope

This policy covers the RG Nets website, the customer portal, the store, the support portal, the training and certification site, and our APIs. It does not cover the rXg software itself when you run it on your own network: that software processes your network's data under your control, not ours, and your agreement for it is the End User License Agreement.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Account details: name, email address, password, job title, company, and optionally a mobile number, an office phone and extension, and a preferred contact method.
Addresses: billing and shipping addresses when you order from the store.
Support content: the tickets you open, the messages and attachments on them, and the survey ratings you send back.
Training records: exam attempts, scores, and certifications, including a CWNP ID if you give us one.
Form submissions: demo and contact requests, free-rXg requests, event and giveaway registrations, and job applications with any files you attach.

Payment information

Card payments go to Braintree, a PayPal service, which handles the card data directly. We keep a Braintree customer reference and the order record. We never see or store your full card number.

Information we collect automatically

Log data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. We keep sign-in times and IP addresses on your account so you and we can spot unexpected access.
Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a cookie that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice, and an optional cookie that remembers a trusted device for two-factor authentication.
Analytics and visitor identification: Google Analytics measures how the site is used, and ZoomInfo WebSights estimates which company a visitor comes from. Section 4 explains how to turn these off.

3. Why we use it

to run your account, sign you in, and protect it with two-factor authentication;
to answer your support tickets and tell you when they change;
to take, fulfill, invoice, and renew orders and licenses;
to issue and verify training certifications;
to answer sales and demo requests, and to follow up on leads we create from them;
to send service email, and text messages you asked for, per our Text Message Policy;
to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and investigate incidents;
to understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
to meet our legal, tax, and export obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (analytics cookies, text messages, marketing email), on performing our contract with you (your account, orders, and support), and on our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and improving the site).

4. Your choices

Marketing email: set "Email Optout" in your account profile, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing message. Service email about your account, orders, and tickets keeps coming.
Text messages: reply STOP to any message, or remove the number from your account profile. See the Text Message Policy.
Analytics: block the Google Analytics and ZoomInfo scripts with your browser's tracking protection, an extension, or Google's opt-out add-on. The site works without them.
Optional fields: leave them blank. Only your name and email address are needed for an account.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows, and only as much as the job needs:

Google Cloud — hosting, databases, and file storage.
Google Workspace — the mail relay that delivers our email.
Twilio — delivery of verification codes and the texts you asked for.
Braintree (PayPal) — payment processing.
Google Analytics and ZoomInfo — site analytics and visitor identification.
Google reCAPTCHA — telling people from bots on public forms.
Resellers and distributors — the contact details on an order, where your purchase came through one of them.
Law enforcement and regulators — where the law requires it, or to defend our legal rights.
A buyer or successor — if we merge with or sell the business, under this same policy.

6. Mobile numbers and text-message consent

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers — or the fact that you consented to text messages — with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. A mobile number goes to Twilio, our messaging provider, for the single purpose of delivering the messages you asked for, and nowhere else.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account, order, and support records for as long as you have an account with us, and after that for as long as we need them for warranty, license, tax, and legal reasons. Log and analytics data ages out on a far shorter schedule. Ask us to delete your account and we delete or anonymize what we are not required to keep.

8. Security

We encrypt traffic in transit, hash passwords, store credentials encrypted, offer two-factor authentication, audit changes to records, and keep administrative access behind a verified phone number. No system is perfect, so tell us at [email protected] if you think something is wrong with your account.

9. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we answer within 30 days. We never make you pay for asking, and we never treat you worse for it.

If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA also give you the right to know the categories we collect and share, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to data portability, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw a consent you gave us, and to complain to your data protection authority.

10. Where your information goes

RG Nets is in the United States, and we and our providers process your information there. If you are outside the United States, using the site means your information crosses a border. We rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with the providers that need them.

11. Children

The site is for business use, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we find that we did, we delete it.

12. Other sites

We link to sites we do not run, including our community on Reddit, our videos on YouTube, and documents on Google Drive. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

13. Changes to this policy

We can change this policy. When we do, we change the effective date at the top of the page. If a change makes a real difference to how we handle your information, we tell you before it takes effect.
